Convention Highlights
The
following are the highlights of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
of REALTORS® Conference and Expo, November 2003.
Financial
Strength
The
association is in strong financial shape driven by increasing
membership, which now stands at more than 971,000. The
association is projecting 75,000 more members in 2004
than were budgeted for.
Political
Contributions at Record Level
Contributions
to the REALTORS Political Action Committee totaled $4,108,967
as of October 7, including $916,000 contributed in October,
nearly double the typical monthly amount. The amount
includes a 26% increase in individual contributions
and 72% increase in corporate contributions. To date,
314,000 REALTORS, or 36% of the NAR membership, have
contributed.
Support
for Spam-fighting Campaign
NAR
will work to ensure that government efforts to curb
fraudulent, misleading, and abusive unsolicited e-mails
to not impact on small businesses' ability to conduct
legitimate business outline.

Announces Federal Policy Priorities For 2004
WASHINGTON
(January 23, 2004) - The National Association of Realtors®
2004 legislative and regulatory agenda will focus on
increased regulatory oversight, expanding housing opportunities,
promoting favorable real estate tax initiatives, increasing
the transparency of the real estate transaction and
keeping big banks out of the real estate business.

Zipforms
The
Indiana Association of REALTORS® is pleased to announce
that effective January 1, 2004 all Indiana REALTORS®
will have full and unlimited access to both the IAR
Residential and IAR Commercial forms libraries.
The
Zipform programs are available in either Desktop or
Online versions. You may use either or both programs.
Before
beginning the registration process, please make sure
you have your NRDS number available. Your NRDS number
can be found above your name on the mailing label of
your Indiana REALTORS Newsletter.
Your
new Member Benefit will include software, all IAR forms,
internet form and software updates, unlimited downloads
for office and home computers, plus any applicable local
association forms libraries. Also, custom company logos
can be added to the forms library for a one-time fee
of $100.
