PARAGON UPDATED TO VERSION 3.6

Recently, FNIS did an upgrade to the Paragon system. The upgrades were many and the entire document outlining the changes can be found on the Paragon Home Page under MLS Docs. We suggest each office print a copy.

We anticipated a larger amount of questions regarding the upgrade but found the members to be surprisingly quiet. Or perhaps everyone followed our advice and called the MLS Help number but in any case the one question we did seem to get calls on was the change to the e-mail function. We wanted to give you some additional information on the e-mail situation so you may feel more comfortable with what happens.

E-MAIL CONFIRMATION - As part of the CAN-SPAM requirements added to Paragon (MLS), once you e-mail out of the MLS system, you will receive an e-mail asking to confirm your e-mail address. While this request may appear suspicious, this is a legitimate request. To respond, please click on the link - the rest is automatic. FAILURE TO CONFIRM YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS WILL RESULT IN NONE OF YOUR MLS E-MAILS GOING OUT AFTER JANUARY 28, 2006.

If you want to get this out of the way, go into the MLS system, select any listing and e-mail to yourself. Once you receive your e-mail you can delete it and then you will receive the verification e-mail that you will need to respond to. After you respond you will be fine and can e-mail within the MLS system to your hearts content.

Also, the calendar at the bottom of the home page is now in the OPEN position. Therefore, the MLS will be using this calendar to indicate when various events will be scheduled. When you see a grayed out box that indicates an event is scheduled, click on the gray box and see the time and name of event, click on the event for further details. We hope you will find this useful.

Again, we urge you to print the complete version upgrade and review it so you won't miss any opportunities available to you.

KEYBOX HOT TIPS FROM SUPRA

You can place Supra KeyBoxes at many convenient locations at a listing, such as on a gate or fence. If you want to place a KeyBox on a chain link fence, perform the remove shackle operation twice to completely remove the shackle. Place the shackle through the fence, then reattach it to the KeyBox.

Remember these tips to prevent KeyBox jams:

  • Make sure the KeyBox is upright when you close the key container. If the KeyBox is upside down, the chain may get caught inside the KeyBox and cause a jam.
  • Don't use rubberbands to attach the keys to the key container.
  • Don't place more than two keys in an AE II KeyBox or more than three keys in an iBox.
  • When opening an iBox in direct sunlight, shade the IR lens. Sunlight can interfere with the infrared communication between the Key and KeyBox. Also make sure the IR lenses are clean on your Key and KeyBoxes. If the lenses are dirty, they may have trouble communicating with each other.
