Julie Alert reviewed the upcoming schedule of events with the Board. Julie reviewed the situation with Alpha Drive and the moving schedule with the Board. The move will be delayed until Comcast updates the infrastructure and enables us to obtain high speed Internet access. This will take approximately 60 days from the date of contract to complete. It will also take about the same amount of time to have the furniture delivered and set up. Therefore, the MLS & Board office will remain at 3801 South Main Street until the first of March.

Facilities Task Force Chairman, Don DeShano reported that Wightman Petrie had completed the survey but not the future site design plan and therefore the task force did not have a recommendation regarding the purchase agreement. In addition, the task force is having the floor plan re-worked at the Board's request to design space for an adequate training room. The task force also stopped any efforts to obtain a tenant until after the Board and MLS are moved in and settled.

The procedure for ratifying Professional Standards hearing decisions was reviewed. Motion passed to submit the "Findings of Fact" document, with the names of the parties removed if possible, to the Board of Directors prior to any action being taken.

Discussion was held regarding entering "Non-MLS Listings" into the MLS sales database. Motion passed to move forward to allow "Non-MLS Listings" to be entered into the MLS as sold information if the property was sold by a member Participant. This would include new home construction, FSBO's etc. Julie was asked to bring proposed language to the next Board meeting for the Board to review.

Dave Myers expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to serve as President of the Board for 2005. Dave also shared with the Board his feelings regarding the benefit of attending National Conventions. Dave purchased all the tapes from the convention and offered members the opportunity to listen to them.

Kent Miller also expressed his feelings of gratitude for allowing him to serve as the 2005 MLS President. Kent felt the National Convention was very worthwhile as well.

Dean Slabach reported the county had approved the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and members should be alert regarding any changes to the laws etc. from this point on. Julie will send a printed Land Use Plan to NAR but was hoping to include a synopsis of what it means to vacant land in Elkhart County .

MLS motion passed to approve MLS office application for Great Lakes Property Management, Lori Snyder Participant. MLS motion passed to approve application from Kosciusko Reciprocity office, Paul Reith Appraisal Service, Paul Reith Participant.

The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on January 12, 2006 at 8:30 AM at the Board Office.
