June 14, 2007 Board Meeting Highlights
Julie reported the NAR dues were increased to $80 per member at the recent NAR Board of Directors meeting in Washington. Julie reviewed two NAR budgets with the Board showing why the increase was passed. Documentation on Environmental Testing in Elkhart County, Storm Water User Fee, and Property Tax Update were included in the Board packet for review.
The Board discussed issuing a policy for co-listing in the MLS. MLS motion passed to allow co-listed properties to be entered in the MLS. Co-listing is defined as a property listed by two agents that are in the same office. Listings that do not fall within the policy of the MLS will not be allowed in the MLS system. MLS staff will audit listing contracts as needed.
Discussion was held on the use of MLS or Multiple Listing Service as part of member URL’s. Generally, use of these words in domain names cannot be challenged except as a possible |

violation of the Code of Ethics depending on the usage.
MLS motion passed to give Participants the authority to use the CBS code feature on I-Boxes as needed. MLS motion passed to accept the eTruth data share recommendation.
