April Membership Meeting!

WHEN: Thursday, April 17, 2003
WHERE: Matterhorn Restaurant
TIME: 11:30 AM
SPEAKER: Bob Watkins
Elkhart County Health Department
SUBJECT: Environmental Issues in Elkhart County

Elkhart County has many environmental issues that may effect the desirability of real property and the cost to purchase and maintain those properties. One of these issues is a proposed septic rule that will, if passed, effect the cost of septic systems for new construction as well as those with existing systems. The rule is designed to help eliminate contaminants caused by underground septic systems but will also cause an increase estimated to be the millions of dollars yearly. Bob Watkins will let us know what the status of this issue is and what we can do to help influence those who are making the decisions that will impact Elkhart County homeowners.

Radon will also be a topic for discussions as recent reports have been received by the health department showing Radon to be an active concern for residents of Elkhart County.

Mr. Watkins has a full presentation that you will not want to miss. Please mark your calendars today to attend this information meeting.

We want you to have a good experience at our luncheons. In order to have the right amount of food and seating we request that you help us by calling in your reservation.
RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST FOR BOTH REALTORS® AND AFFILIATES! Please call the Board Office, 875-3283 or drop us an e-mail at members@ecbor.com to let us know you are coming. Thank you.
